The exquisite proportions of this substantial 18th century property meant we could design on a large scale. With its huge shuttered windows and high ceilings, our Long House cupboards were solid enough not to be dwarfed by the kitchen. We kept the light, airiness of the space by painting the cupboards white and fitting a huge plate and utensil rack above the sink and a Georgian bracketed shelf around the entire kitchen at picture rail height.
